About a year ago, we featured an image of a bunny jumping over a hurdle in our Editor’s Picks post. We thought it might be time to investigate the sport that has bunnies acting like horses, especially in light of more images popping up on Newscom this past week. The pictures have struck us as a little weird, a little wacky and downright odd.
Rabbit show jumping is a relatively new competition only having started in the 1970s, and competitions have primarily taken place over in Europe. Courses consist of different height hurdles, straight or crooked paths, and all timed out to see who the fastest bunny is. However it doesn’t look like the spectators of this sport dress up like the anything you may see at the Royal Ascot which is slightly disappointing…
Any breed of rabbit can enter the a show like this and it kind of seems like the cuter the better. You won’t only be impressed with their high jumps, you’ll want to take one home. So be sure to check out these images and find more back at Newscom of rabbit jumping competitions.
